Text watermarks are not displayed on the page of a document, but are displayed as a graphic element on a PDF document. By using a Watermarking Font, you're allowing the PDF to represent the image within the document. This watermarking style can be used on all image related PDF documents, including PDF documents that the user wants to protect in any way, including through using a password. There are two ways to add the dynamic watermark to your PDF document: 1. Using the Watermarking Font. 2. Adding text, a logo, or other information to the document as you normally would. Watermarking Water markers Watermarking fonts provide a graphic element to the PDF that allows readers to be able to recognize the particular PDF and to be able to determine from the PDF that the document was created by that particular user. Watermarking fonts can be combined with other font styles as well. Watermarking on a document: When using any watermarking font, you are choosing to display the watermark on a portion of the page. When a watermark is placed, the entire page may become obscured by the watermark. However, you are still able to view the watermark. Watermarking on a book : If a watermark is used on a page within a book, the watermarking font is applied to the entire page, and the entire page becomes completely obscured by the watermark. Watermarking on a folder : If a watermark is applied to a folder within a book, the watermarking font is applied to the entire folder, and the entire folder becomes completely obscured by the watermark, thus hiding everything on the folder. Note: For best results, Watermarking may be applied to an entire folder or folder contents only. A Watermarking Font that is used on a specific folder in the folder structure may appear to cover the entire folder.
